Detroit Puppet Company

Detroit Puppet Company is a neighborhood-based arts, puppetry, and performance organization located on the edge between Hamtramck and Detroit. Their mission is to bring imaginative programming and professional development to our diverse community in a way that is inclusive, culturally competent, and sustainable. Their performance space activates once-vacant lots into an interactive arts space with sculptures, garden beds, winding paths, and mini-hills for guests to dream and play.   

Ani performed an accessibility audit of the outdoor performance space during its construction phase and made recommendations on short and long term improvements of fixed and temporary elements to enhance production needs for staff and visitors. From this audit, Ani generated an accessibility statement shared online for guests to know what is available and how to get support before, during, and after their visit.
