Michigan Central is a 30-acre innovation and technology hub in the heart of Detroit’s Corktown Neighborhood. Live: The Concert at Michigan Central was a sold-out outdoor concert held on June 6th, 2024, to celebrate the reopening of the historic Michigan Central Station in Detroit. The event featured a lineup of mostly Detroit musicians and performers, including Diana Ross, Jack White, Big Sean, Slum Village, Theo Parrish, Common, Jelly Roll, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and more. The event was live-streamed on Peacock. The concert was part of a larger celebration (Michigan Central OPEN) which activated the first floor of the Station with tours of the restored station guiding guests through the building’s history and renovation journey with art installations, interactive storytelling and story collecting elements, archives and artifacts and more. Each weekend held additional community programming in the surrounding park spaces.
For the concert, Ani partnered with Ten Fifty Entertainment to form an Accessibility Team that planned, coordinated, and implemented accessibility for over 500 guests and between two designated ADA seating sections.
Ani continued coordinating and iterating an accessibility program supporting ~10,000 daily guests across four generations visiting the Station and staff delivering guest experience throughout the summer.
